Join us on Friday, January 20, 2017 (Inauguration Evening) to gather in practice, discussion and community to reflect on fostering light within ourselves and our communities, including a special focus on the work of our community fellows supporting children, families, and schools. All people are welcome to attend. We invite participation from students, parents, community members, CHA staff and volunteers, children as well as any others who are interested in learning more about CMC.

During the evening, our keynote speakers Chris Germer PhD and Metta McGarvey EdD will lead us in practice and discussion. Additionally, we will be recognizing the Center for Mindfulness & Compassion Community Fellows, who led local community efforts this past year to make mindfulness and compassion practices accessible in children, schools, and families.

Child care will be offered and the gathering will include vegetarian appetizers and light bites.

In support of our mission and vision, we invite you
make a donation to our Center after RSVPing to this event.
All donations are 100% tax-deductible.

While CMC has several research grants and some revenue from clinical work, we rely on the generosity of the community, volunteer effort, and support from donors in order to sustain our community programs and support our community leadership fellowship program. During this fiscal year, we are hoping to raise $40,000 towards our mindfulness and compassion community support fund to continue to sustain our community programming. We hope to raise at least $5,000 during this event to support our Community Leadership Fellowship in 2017.
